S. Levine, a Junior at Hunter College, is studying Media and Psychology. Though she currently works as a counselor in a group home for runaway and homeless teenage girls, this past semester she interned at a local news station. While a large part of her internship dealt with politics, she is more interested in neighborhood news stories. Levine was born in Queens, NY where she lived until the age of 18. Since then she has spent her time back and forth between NY and Israel, now living in NYC until she graduates. She has a strong love/hate relationship with NYC, finding the charm and unique personality of the city often overpowered by the lack of space, buildings that slice the sky, and dirty streets. Levine is saddened by the gradual gentrification of NYC. She hopes to taste the whole city before moving back to Israel.
